Leaf Design Leafs book a spot in the Melon Bowl!

Folks, our first squad to reserve a spot in the show is the Leaf Design Leafs. Kudos go out to Ian Chapman and the boys for a great season and an even better playoffs. After missing their veteran leadership in the form of Mel “Dawg” Marrello for the last stretch, his return has bolstered the ranks and filled a void where there wasn’t any!

The Leafs are going to be somewhat responsible for their destiny in the finals. Playing the Conner Clan, if they lose and the Clan keep themselves out of the box, they will face a rematch the following week for the Cup. If they defeat the Clan, then it comes down to the MLL vs. Stampeders game. Whoever wins that match, would book a spot in the finals against the Leafs! Should be a dandy!!!

In the PHN Championship pool, we could be looking at total mayhem! The Dusters currently sit on top, but with a loss this week to Blakbak, they could see themselves golfing after putting up an awesome regular season. A win however puts them in the finals. Mic Mac did themselves no favour with their PIMS, which look to preclude them from the finals in the event of a tie-breaker, however, they could play spoiler to Deloitte, who is looking to return to the Championships after claiming it in their first season, and are the defending champs! Goal Zero could also still pull it out, but their status will highly depend on their Captain being able to make the game, after finding out he has a public appearance at a corporate event to sign some autographs and kiss some babies.

This one should be a crazy night ladies and gentlemen!!!

3. Head-to-head in round-robin (only if the tie is between 2 teams)
4. Head-to-head in regular season
