Internet Explorer sucks! MLL owns 1st place!
June 21st, 2011
Note: For those using Internet Explorer and trying to see the schedule or stats from the links on the web page, get a new browser! It sucks, almost as bad as Luongo when he is on his knees! Whoaaaa easy, get your mind off the ice and into the gutter! Seriously though, use Firefox and Chrome to view! We are looking at the issues now with our VP of Web Development. We have dispatched him to Microsoft Head Offices in Seattle.
NOTE: Our VP of Web Development (Leaf Design) has fixed the issue and we thank him for a speedy fix!
Major League Lettering is on a mission, and that mission is victory! With a 6-3 victory over the Conners Clan, they extended their lead on top of the standings and don’t care to look back! Kevin Bernas rocked the hat trick and upon scoring his third goal, looked into the stands at the fans and saluted! Kartik Behl continued his dominance with a goal and two assists while Darryl Vandinther netted the game winning goal. For the Clan, Scott Armitage had a great game scoring twice, including a powerplay goal. This despite the current issues in the Clan dressing room with ownership. Brian Conners, who recently waived his no trade clause as the team owner, apparently looks to be headed on a way deal to the Northern Alberta Senior League for Defunct Players. We wish him well and a speedy departure!
The Leafs won 4-2 without their Captain and Team owner Ian Chapman, who had to take a break from tending to the crease to tending to a newborn! Congrats Ian on both victories! For the Leafs, Jay stevens netted the winner and added an assist to secure the victory with 58 into the third period. Ed Poon and Martin Kenno countered for the Icepack in the losing cause.
Blakbak got destroyed against a very aggressive and defensive minded Puroclean Hurricanes squad. Winning 5-2 with Michael Arseneau scoring the hat trick, the ‘Canes were dominant throughout the game, never giving an inch to Blakbak. Adam Trischler had a career game with 143 saves (counting the warm-up) and that inspired his squad to victory. Mel Marrello, the PHN PA President scored the game winner and immediately looked over to the Commissioners as if to say, THE FIGHT IS ON!! After the game, Mel Marrello was suspended for 56 games for challenging in public the Commissioners, however, recent talks at the PHN Head Office with the VP of Corruption suggest that this will be a short lived suspension.
In the final game of the night, the Legal Eagles squeaked a victory through with a 4-3 win. In a penalty filled game that is sure to lead to a review by the Commisioners. Stay tuned for the outcome.
See you on the ice!
